Ticket Selling

Where to List Your Tickets: Recommended Platforms & Tips

Choosing the right platform to list your tickets is essential to maximizing profit and minimizing risk. Below is a breakdown of the most effective platforms for resale, along with their key features and important best practices.

Recommended: Sold Out Shows (SOS)

Sold Out Shows (SOS) is one of the top platforms for ticket resellers. Like Lysted, it allows you to list your tickets across all major resale marketplaces (including StubHub, VividSeats, SeatGeek, and more) simultaneously. However, SOS offers several advantages:

  • Ability to list non-transferable tickets

  • No excessive cancellation penalties

  • Full Service pricing included by default (automated pricing handled for you)

  • Pays out on delivery for all users, regardless of sales history

  • Integrates with Ticketmaster and AXS

This is the most beginner-friendly and efficient option. Highly recommended for anyone looking to streamline their listings and avoid unnecessary risk.

Lysted

Lysted also distributes your tickets across all major resale platforms, eliminating the chance of double-selling.

  • Optional Full Service upgrade for automatic pricing (small additional fee)

  • Pays out on delivery only if you have at least $50,000 in lifetime revenue

  • If you do not meet the revenue threshold, payouts are made after the event

  • Works well for experienced sellers with established volume

Lysted is a great option once you’ve scaled up, but for newer sellers, SOS has more immediate benefits.

Ticketmaster

Some events allow you to list tickets directly through your Ticketmaster account.

  • Log in, go to your ticket order, and select “Sell”

  • Useful for quick, direct listings if you’re not using a distribution platform

  • SOS and Lysted also list here automatically if the event supports it

AXS

AXS works similarly to Ticketmaster for direct resale.

  • Access your tickets in your AXS account and select “Sell” if the event allows it

  • Ideal for quick local sales or for events where you’re only managing a single pair

  • SOS and Lysted also handle AXS-supported listings automatically

StubHub and VividSeats (Manual Listing Not Recommended)

While these are major resale marketplaces, there is no advantage to listing directly on them.

  • SOS and Lysted already list your tickets on both platforms automatically

  • Manually listing increases your risk of double selling, which can result in canceled orders, account penalties, or suspensions

Stick to listing through SOS or Lysted to stay protected.

Important: Avoid Double Selling

Only list your tickets through one platform or one multi-listing service (like SOS or Lysted). If you post the same ticket on multiple platforms separately, you risk selling it twice, which can lead to serious consequences including heavy cancellation fees and account bans.

Final Recommendation

Start with Sold Out Shows if you're new to ticket reselling. It offers a strong mix of automation, early payouts, and convenience. Once you've built up consistent sales volume, consider Lysted as a secondary option.
